Sarah Baird (b.1997, Atlanta, GA) is an artist and metalsmith drawn to personal experiences that can be found in jewelry throughout all walks of life. Jewelry has stood the test of time to express oneself and the stories that are imbued into each piece have captivated an interest in Sarah’s work. She takes personal experiences from her own life, from stories that are about her favorite things to more traumatic stories about losing a loved one. She is always trying to add humor or a way to deflect the harsh reality of certain stories whether it be with color or words. She finds a way to make jewelry a way to express her personality and create a personal connection to anyone who views it. Sarah has received a BFA in Jewelry and Metalworking from the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia in 2023. She also earned a certificate from the Diamonds Council of America for Gemology in 2015.
